Disambiguation Notice

The original Scottish firm of Thomas Nelson & Sons, founded in 1798, has gone through many changes of style and ownership. The present firm using the name Thomas Nelson specialises in religious works. Tommy Nelson publishers are a subsidiary publishing childrens's books.

Please do not combine this page with that of Thomas Nelson, as there are a number of individual authors called Thomas Nelson who have no connection to the firm. To say that "Thomas Nelson" is the author of Bibles is insensitive at best, given some consider this to be blasphemous, not to mention inaccurate. Thomas Nelson is the name of the Bibles publisher, not author.
