I was ready for the dark side of this book but not for the emotional one. The relationship between Oakley and Loren is a slow burn one. Although, the attraction that Loren felt towards Oakley was instant.

Loren is the dominant one, yet he is gentle with Loren. The way that he feels about him is sweet. He just wants to make Oakley happy and protect him. That means eliminating anyone that comes between them.

I really enjoyed this book and look forward to reading the next in this series as I want to get to know more about Loren's brothers.

This line from the book sums up what you are in for..."You meet someone without a boat filled with red flags"

Warning, small SPOILER possible.

Honestly, if the book wasn't, using another reader's words, so bogged down with useless memories, it would have been at least a 3 or 4 star rating from me.

However, said influx of memory time jumps, as well as the constant feel of a work out manual, I lost interest rather quickly.

I glossed over the workouts, and the memories because it was more of the exact same thing, just worded differently. So, I didn't see a point in reading it.

There were some parts that were interesting enough for me to want to get to the end but I have to say, the mob stuff should have start closer to the beginning of the book and not at the end...the title implies, that he was being hunted however, we don't read about it til the end of the book. Like, pow, suddenly the point to the book is thrown in our faces.... And what family confessions did Marley mean to explain why there was amo all over the house??? We don't get an answer to, I am confused.

Anyway, I invite ppl to read this book and share your thoughts.

I, personally, did not enjoy it but, that doesn't mean someone else won't.

I have read a few other versions of Alice in Wonderland but I really am digging this spicy version by Crea Reitan. Yet, Mal is not in Wonderland. Nope, she is in Laddenworn. The twisted and corrupted land that was once Wonderland. It is Mal's job to figure out what happened and make things right again.

She meets some very interesting characters along the way. First there is Ache aka White Rabbit. Only Ache has whiteboard abs that you could wash your clothing on. Sorry not sorry for the "Dad" joke. Then there are Ryph and Eagy, whom Mal spends majority of the time with on her journey. I really grew close to the both of them.

This version of the Chestershire Cat aka Chesh is just as witty but sexy as well and finally there is Wyat, a gargoyle. He is built if you know what I mean. Yet this would not be Laddenworn if there was not a Jabberwock that the group has to battle.

I can't wait to continue this series to see how it progresses. Plus, there was so much spice in this book that I imagine it will only get spicer from here on forward.

This is not the Neverland many of us readers grew up on as a kid. There are no fairy tale endings. Pirates are not the only thing that Peter Pan and the Lost Boys have to watch out for. There is something more evil in Neverland. This is where Ira comes in. She is a fixer. She is hoping to figure out what is wrong with Neverland and fix it before it is too late.

Shade rescues Ira. They share a connection that heats up. While Ira and Shade do share some hot moments; they were not exclusive. In fact, Ira and Shade were not the only ones that got action. I will never think of Peter Pan and the Lost Boys the same away again.

Speaking of Peter Pan...he is a bit of an acorn. I agree with another reader that he made me want to smack him. I look forward to reading the next book in this series to continue this journey with everyone. If you have not read the first book, I would suggest it as it will help you have a better idea of who everyone is and their relationships to one another.
