Go Clean, Sexy You is a unique program that provides readers with four seasonal plant-based detoxification plans, based on clean eating principles. The program is designed to help you rid your body of toxins and excess weight and help bring you back into balance.

The menu plans vary in length from 7 to 10 days based on the season. The book includes 4 seasonal menu plans, complete shopping lists, and more than 100 easy-to-make recipes.

What I like about Go Clean, Sexy You is that it is inviting, easy to read and use, well organized and full of helpful tips. You don’t have to be a health expert to read this book, and you don’t have to turn your life upside down to do the seasonal detoxes.

Go Clean, Sexy You is a great choice for readers who want to make positive changes to their lives and health and are looking for a flexible plan that anyone can pick up and use.

This is an excerpt from my full review, which you'll find at Create With Joy!

Having been completely won over after both hubbie and I had read and followed Lisa's detox plan from her previous book 'Renewal Anytime 10 day detox' I couldn't wait to get my hands on this book. Her knowledge and attention to detail, as well as the delicious recipes, made our very first detox so much easier than expected.

This time in Go Clean, Sexy You she has completely designed the detox and recipes around each season, giving you a choice of 4 detox plans and recipes to follow. The 'in season' fruit and vegetables also make for an easy shop and are actually what you want to eat at that time of year. I love the way the detox works with the seasons for what your body needs at different times of the year too. If you have the paperback version, it is absolutely lush with stunning images and it is so much easier to use.

Lisa has a really friendly and simple approach that put's you totally at ease as she guides you through the book and she fills you with confidence even before you think of starting the detox. She has literally thought of everything you could possibly want to know in order to complete a successful detox. First she explains the facts behind a detox and why it's not all about the food you eat, she offers practical advice, for each seasonal detox she gives you the menu plans, shopping lists, recipes and it doesn't end there! When you complete your detox she has even included a 'Return to Life' section filled with more delicious recipes and advice to see you continue on the right path and have no excuse of going back to your old ways. Although you don't have to start healthy eating 100% of the time, as Lisa believes in the the 80/20 approach, which sounds quite do-able to me.

In the book the dirty dozen food list was a real eye opener for me and will always continue to try and buy organic foods and I enjoyed learning from the ph chart and information. I also liked the simple menu plan layout which I have been referring to constantly.

We are half way into the Spring detox, which is focusing on the liver, the recipes have been quick to make, easy to follow, and we have not been hungry once. I'm loving some of the recipes so far and will definitely be having them once my detox ends. It's actually nice to be eating food that is naturally flavoured instead of eating what I call 'cardboard food' as well as knowing your going to be helping your own body and seeing the results. I say this with confidence because we had great results from the previous detox both with weight and health issues. Another bonus of doing another detox is that we now already have most of the larder products and vitamins (these are optional).

Now's the time to start your body on a healthy journey with confidence.

If you want a great way to kickstart a more healthier lifestyle you must get this book. Lisa Consiglio Ryan makes detoxing fun and delicious. Besides the fact that you are going to get some amazing recipes Ryan takes you through this amazing journey of her reasons behind writing the book as well as how you can personalize your own journey towards getting and remaining healthy. I would highly recommend you get the paperback versus the digital version because along with the great prose you will get beautiful pictures of all the gorgeous fruits, vegetables and meals that Ryan prepares. It truly is a feast for the eyes.

I cannot tell you how many times I got asked by my co-workers what I was eating during my detox. Everyone was so amazed that the meals I was eating were part of a detox. I did the Spring detox so everything was bright, green and fresh. The grapefruit salad with the nuts and avocado was divine and who would have thought that making your own salad dressing was so easy. I did find that I was unable to get through all the recipes that were offered for the Spring only because working full time with three kids amidst baseball practice, dance practice and film school, it is not easy to cook every night. What I did was prep everything on Sunday and again in the middle of the week to keep everything fresh. I ended up with so much, I kind of doubled the recipes, that two evening meals lasted me for the week. The salads for lunch I was able to prep the night before, but still unable to get through all the meals. I found this to be a good thing because next time I use the Spring detox plan I can try new recipes.

Ryan’s writing was so fun and easy to follow that I read through the entire book in just a few sittings and I cannot wait to try the different recipes that she offers for the next season. Summer is coming up already and I am ready for another detox. I thought it was brilliant that she designed the detox plans around the seasons. What a great way to get motivated at the beginning of a seasonal cycle. The beauty of her plans is that you will find that you become more aware of what you are putting in your body and you tend to stay away from those fatty foods. The fresh seasonal vegetables and fruits soon become what your body craves. I plan on incorporating her detox plans into my life for good. Oh, by the way, my co-worker immediately bought the book after I shared my journey with her!

This was such a thoroughly planned out book by the author, it guides you through the detox programme very easily, leaving you with the confidence to actually start it on your own. She has such a friendly approach in the book, it's as if she is right there beside you willing you on. She does highly encourage you to first fully read the book BEFORE starting the detox, so you can grasp all the information for the best possible outcome, I took advantage of this whilst on my holiday to do just that and I was ready to begin when I returned.

I found Renewal Anytime very straightforward to follow, full of quick recipes that genuinely sound tasty and enjoyable, answers to common questions, along with plenty of tips and advice. The daily menu's are already planned out for you, breakfast, mid-morning snack, lunch, mid-afternoon snack and dinner, Don't be concerned about not liking a particular recipe as the author has also included extra recipes in case you want to substitute. Lisa has literally thought of everything you could possibly need to ensure your detox goes as smoothly as possible, even when you finish your detox and may think to yourself 'now what?' Lisa has included recipes so you can continue the progress you have made.

It's not all about food of course and Lisa advices you on other beneficial ways to help the detox work better, such as daily body brushing, stretching, exercising, drinks.

One tip, if your anything like me, I started listing all the ingredients I would need to begin, but there is no need as Lisa has already prepared the shopping list for you. Some books I have had in the past have lots of ingredients I have never heard of. not to detox but to simply eat healthy, so it was quite a pleasant surprise to see all the familiar items on the shopping list.

On our return from holiday both hubbie and I started the detox and we are currently on day 4. We've found the recipes easy to make, tasty and we're not feeling hungry in between meals and snacks, so let the re-balance begin! Watch out for my follow up post xx

As soon as I started reading the first page I thought, okay I can do this. Lisa Consiglio Ryan, the author of “Renewal ‘Anytime’ 10 Day Detox”, wrote the introduction in such a person-to-person manner that you could have literally been in the same room with her while she cheered you on. The beginning points that Consiglio made on the importance of detoxing and cleansing your system regularly quickly grabbed your attention and got you excited about beginning this journey towards a better you.

The more I read I realized that she was there as a professional health guide that explained the process in a very clear and smooth way. People loath the word diet, however her approach to getting you on board was to make it a life choice with nothing but positive benefits, so why wouldn’t you want to take a dive into what can be a scary life experience of detoxing. We are all so habituated into our lifestyle, which revolves around food, changing that, even for 10 days, is not an easy task.

The fact that it is only 10 days makes this detoxing plan completely doable. Even more inspiring are the amazing recipes! I am definitely going to incorporate those recipes into my family’s regular meals throughout the week. Especially when we have been binging on “Animal protein”. If anything else this book is worth the read just for those tasty recipes that will truly make you wonder what was holding you back from trying this foolproof detox plan.

Consiglio’s straightforward approach and yummy recipes will make this detox plan a regular part of your life. She describes that you should try detoxing once every season and the importance it may make in how you feel about yourself mentally and physically. The health benefits surely outweigh the fear you may have of changing your bad habits for 10 days out of every season or before a special event.

Reading "Renewal 'Anytime' 10 Day Detox by Lisa Consiglio Ryan came at the right time and as a pre-sent help for me. I wasn't sure I could commit to this type of regimen for 10-days, thinking I would be hungry, or I wouldn't be able to get it right, and other self-defeating thoughts - before I even began. I believe that is a huge part of why it's necessary to read the book completely through from the front to the back, FIRST, before jumping into the plan. Doing that helped me realize that I really could do this, and that preparing recipes and all of the tips provided would help me be successful.

I have to say that following the steps in the plan helped me get my mind and body on one accord. I feel like my body was rid of the things that clogged it and made me dredge through life, fighting against this fibro syndrome. At the same time I felt like my mind was renewed and refreshed to plan more clearly how to manage a lot of different things I was dealing with.

I'm definitely a believer, now, that this 10-day Detox is well worth pre-planning, following the tips and the plan as closely as possible with the encouragement that is written into the plan. I am going to do it again whenever I feel myself fumbling or plateauing. I love that there is a pre-plan, the plan, and then the after-plan. All of the drinks taste incredible, and there is not one person in my little family who doesn't like them. This was an incredible addition to my journey, and I am still doing some juices with my regular diet.
**I received this book free in exchange for my honest review.

I wasn't sure what this book was going to be about when I first agreed to review it. I was pleasantly surprised to see that it is actually a way to start eating healthy for life by cutting back on a few items that most of us eat or drink a lot. I was very happy to see that this detox does NOT include any "meds"--just foods! I can definitely see where this would and could make a difference in your lives. I say your lives because there is one ingredient in almost every recipe (and there are a lot of them!) which I can't go near. It is Olive Oil-Extra Virgin or not. My gallbladder will not tolerate oils and I really do not like the excruciating pain that accompanies my ingesting any oil! But for the rest of you I suggest you go and read this book-lots of information, loads of recipes (which actually do sound quite good)-and then try this detox approach.

I received this book complimentary, to review, along with a group of book review bloggers. This was my first time doing a detox, so I thought that I would give it a try. I like that it didn't require any outrageous changes to my daily routine -- like only mixing and drinking juices, so many times a day, or depriving myself of real food, to help me recharge during my busy week. It had healthy foods, smoothies, juices, and snacks throughout the 10 days. I learned about many new recipes and I was pretty surprised by the ‪vegan‬ options too. I am already a vegetarian, but I was getting bored with eating the same foods and frankly my body was feeling it too. It was a great way to ‪rejuvenate‬ my mind, body, and spirit, with the 10 minute quiet time and journaling that's also recommended in the book. I'm actually still preparing many of the recipes from the cleanse and the supplemental recipes and bonus recipes too. Overall, I really felt more relaxed, intuitive during this time, and gained more energy. What you put into your body really does affect you on so many levels.

Disclosure: I received a complimentary copy of Renewal “Anytime” Detox as a member of Beck Valley Books. All opinions are strictly my own.

Sometimes your body just feels "bogged down" and sluggish and you may feel like you want to get the sludge out. Or you need to jump start your weight loss plan to get you really motivated. Or you just came back from vacation and maybe you didn't eat so well during that time. Either way, it's nice knowing that there is a way to give your body a little boost. A way that is healthy and doesn't take months and months. I like knowing that I can do a 10 day detox pretty much anytime I feel the need. Sometimes, I just want that little boost to make me feel better, like after being sick. This 10 day detox will work to get me back on track after being down and out.

The recipes included are delicious and are foods that I want to eat, not just foods I need or have to eat. I think that is one thing that makes this particular detox successful. While the foods can be pricey, they are things you are going to enjoy eating so it's not going to feel like a big dip in your wallet like many weight loss systems do. If you're eating fairly healthy already, than you will have most of the ingredients in your pantry or fridge anyway.

The book is written in a way that is easy to follow. The recipes are quick and simple. I love how it is laid out. There is a FAQ section with answers to most commonly asked detox questions like what symptoms you may experience and where to purchase the required foods. There are daily instructions and the recipes for the day are broken down by breakfast, lunch and supper so you're not scrambling trying to figure out which recipe is for which time of day. I love the smoothie recipes and recommendations for green juice. There are a few snack recipes too like Raw Strawberry Oat Bars and Raw Chocolate Pudding so if you have a sweet tooth, like me, you won't feel deprived. Instead, you'll have a boost of energy with your sweetness! I also love that the shopping list tells you exactly how much of each ingredients you'll need.

I have the Nook version so I'll be printing this out and keeping it in my healthy recipes binder on my counter. That way I'll have quick and easy access to recipes throughout the week, not just when I need a quick and healthy detox!
