Pierre Salama

Pierre Salama teaches international and labour economics at the University of Paris 13. He is a recognised expert on Latin American issues. He was awarded the Chair of Latin American Studies Julio Cortzar and received an honorary doctorate from the Autonomous Metropolitan University (UAM) and the show more University of Guadalajara (Mexico). He has published a large number of books, the majority of which have been translated into Spanish and Portuguese. He is a member of the editorial board of several foreign academic journals, and has been the scientific director of the Revue Tiers Monde. Pierre Salama is co-editor, along with Robert Boyer, of a series of books published by La Dcouverte. He has been associated for over a decade with the work of the Directorate General of Social Cohesion and the Directorate General of Education and Language, Culture and Heritage and Youth and Sport of the Council of Europe. show less
