Short biography
Coleen Salley was a professor of children's literature for thirty years and now travels widely as a professional storyteller. Born in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, she grew up hearing the old tale of Epaminondas, which has become her trademark story. Coleen lives in the French Quarter in New Orleans, Louisiana -- where she's also known as Queen Coleen, a colorful character of Mardi Gras. [adapted from Epossumondas (2002)]
