Rory Casteel has enjoyed working at her uncle's bar, but it has never been her dream. She longs for adventures and a life outside Mud Gultch. When Gage and his friends get stuck outside town, Rory and Gage have a one night stand that leaves an impression on both of them, but Gage is about to take a position in London, opening a new branch of his father's company, and Rory is on a mission to find out who her real father is. However, when it looks like Gage's father might also be hers, it quickly puts a halt to their budding romance and makes finding out who her father really is imperative.

Falling for Gage contains so many different storylines, that the romance between Gage and Rory is overshadowed. The mystery of Rory's father takes center stage, while Gage's future also plays a large role in the novel. Rory and Gage are likable characters but a bit on the timid side as far as their future lives are concerned, making it tough to be fully invested in their relationship. Supporting characters that appeared in previous books by Mia Sheridan take up some of the slack, creating humor and depth to the story. Overall, Falling for Gage is an entertaining novel well worth the read.

Not a fan of romance story lines, but the thriller aspect of this novel was phenomenal. The beginning of the story is gripping, and horrifying, and spectacular, and full of trigger warnings. As the story goes on, it shifts to more of a romance angle, but the psychological impact of earlier events remains. This is a novel I will never forget.
