I did not read this effing book. Goodreads, you have no way of taking back a mistake.

Very good sci fi romance. One of my favorites of Ms. Sinclair's.

Ahh...Sci Fi romance - the best of both worlds. I have enjoyed all of the books in this series. I thought the romance was slighted just a bit in this story. We see Devin loving Kaidee which was great and believable and well written. Kaidee loving Devin back was a bit lacking. I did love her character though. I am fond of strong females and also of marginal just getting by sci fi characters. The story was strong and detailed. The plot was believable. The world is fully realized. You can totally picture Dock 5 and the way the various planets etc., interact. This is better Sci Fi plotting and description of worlds and action than many straight Sci Fi books I read. I did think the ending was a bit too quick. There needed to be more fallout discussion at the end.

This author does a great job with the sci fi element which is where many who write sci fi romance go wrong. You gotta read sci fi to write it well and it's obvious Ms. Sinclair does.

But that's a minor quibble. Good sci fi romance is rarer than hen's teeth and Ms. Sinclair needs to write faster!

I rarely read the summary of a book before I read the book because I do not want to know what it is about. This was true of this book as well, which is why I did not know it was a romance / scifi book. I am not a fan of romance novels which should really tell you how much I enjoyed this book despite that fact, since I gave it 5 stars. I enjoyed the characters very much. I enjoyed the story line. It had a well balanced mix of action, adventure, suspense and back story.
