This is a serious geography book purposely frames the world in the context of human industry and "world-climactic-regions". In just reading Elliott's supplement in the text; it is impressive how attuned these early educators were to the challenges of over-harvesting resources and what we now call sustainability.

There are some very not okay slurs in the book, as there are a lot of quotes from various tree farmers, and the book was published in 1929. So like a great resource and get your feet set for some language you expect your kinda racist great grandparents to sling.
