Jean Nordhaus and John Surowiecki
Jean Nordhaus teaches at the Bethesda Writer's Center; her poems appear in American Poetry Review, Poetry, Best American Poetry, and Garrison Keillor's "Writer's Almanac." Her books include The Porcelain Apes of Moses Mendelssohn; My Life in Hiding, Calladay Award; and Innocence, Ohio State University Press Wheeler Award.
John Surowiecki is a poet and playwright; his Watching Cartoons Before Attending a Funeral won the White Pine Prize; The Hat City After Men Stopped Wearing Hats won the 2006 Word Works Washington Prize. "My Nose and Me," a 33-scene TragedyLite, won the Pegasus Award for verse drama, and will be produced in Chicago, Washington, and Storrs, Connecticut.
