This was a really fun addition to the Ronaldo series, and has such an important message hidden inside! I’ve loved each of the stories so far in the series, and this might be my favorite one yet. Ronaldo and Rudi are back, and have made a new friend. I love how the story is all about finding your “superpower” or what you’re passionate about and brings you joy. For Donny, it isn’t flying, but Ronaldo has to help find a way to convince Donny (and his mom) that it’s OK for Donny to pursue something else. It’s a great way to teach kids they need to follow their hearts, and not just blindly follow along doing something they hate just because someone else insists they have to. Definitely recommend for all the middle graders in your life!… (more)

Ronaldo is a great character, and the books always have a lesson woven into the story. This book has Ronaldo's first crush, how even little lies can have big consequences, and a bit of mystery mixed in. I love how the story unfolded and how everything was handled. Don't miss out on another fun Ronaldo adventure that kids will love and adults will love to read along with them.

I was so excited to see Ronaldo and Rudi back for another adventure. Like previous books, this one has some important lessons woven into a fun story. This book focuses on the importance of teamwork, not judging others when you don't have all the facts, and having compassion for others. I have to say, I'd love to visit the café and try each flavor of hot chocolate! This is a great story that really gets you in the holiday mood, with fun illustrations and unforgettable characters. Absolutely recommend grabbing this and curling up with a cup of hot cocoa to read with your middle grader!… (more)

This was another brilliant Ronaldo book. A birthday party is a special thing, and Ronaldo wants to make this one extra special for his friend Rudi. Between Rudi's injured hoof and some unexpected events, what was going to be a magical birthday party is beginning to look kind of sad and dreary. That doesn't stop Ronaldo from doing the best he can with what he has, and finding creative ways to cheer up Rudi. Like the other books in the series, there are some wonderful life lessons woven into the pages, along with beautiful pictures that kids and adults alike will enjoy. Don't let this one fly by!… (more)
