This book had me all in my feelings, and I actually had to put it down for a couple of days, because it flooded me with memories. When I picked it back up and finished, I had to sit in my chair, taking a deep breath and drying my face. It's not often that a book can literally make me cry, but this one truly did. I cried with anger, I cried with sadness, and I also cried with hope and thankfulness.

I would recommend this book not only to women who are going through domestic abuse, but everyone as a whole. It's time that we stop sweeping this epidemic under the rug, or discussing it in hushed whispers. Ladies, if you're in this situation, get help NOW! If you know someone who's in this situation, get them help! Don't wait until it's too late!… (more)
