Award-winning author Jane Jeong Trenka will discuss her book, Fugitive Visions: An Adoptees Return to Korea, on Thursday, February 11 at 4:00 p.m. at the University of Minnesota Bookstore in Coffman Memorial Union, 300 Washington Ave. S.E. Minneapolis. Trenka, adopted as a baby from Korea and raised in the United States, continues her search for identity and self by recounting her experience of moving back to her birth country in Fugitive Visions. Using the lessons from her past, Trenka learns to navigate the myriad contradictions and disjunctions in her life as she struggles for acceptance in Korea. Trenka is also the author of The Language of Blood. Trenka will sign copies of her book following the discussion. This event is free and open to the public.
