Kurt Tucholsky was the most renowned journalist of Weimar Germany, a poet, lyricist, satirist, and storyteller, a democrat, a fighter, a lady's man, a theater-lover, and a political animal. Tucholsky vehemently and early on opposed WWI militarism.
