About the Author
Brian Lindsay Turner was born in New Zealand on March 4, 1944. He is a poet and an author. His books include Ladders of Rain, Bones, Taking Off, Somebodies and Nobodies, Footfall, and Elemental: Central Otago Poems. He has won several literary prizes including the 1979 Commonwealth Poety Prize, the show more 1985 J.C. Reid Memorial Prize, the 2009 Prime Minister's Award for Literary Achievement in Poetry, and the 2010 Poetry Award at the New Zealand Post Book Awards.
