Robert Vamosi is the author of When Gadgets Betray Us: The Dark Side of our Infatuation With New Technologies, a bestselling book that looks at the security consequences of digital convenience in the modern world, from electronic gadgets in cars to implanted medical devices. Vamosi has more than a dozen years of security journalism experience, writing for national outlets such as ZDNet, CNET, CBS News, PC World and Forbes. He also worked as a financial services industry analyst specializing in security, risk management and fraud.

Vamosi is also program chair of this year’s Amphion Forum, an open, vendor-neutral and cross-disciplinary event focused on exploring the most compelling ideas in mobile security to help organizations realize the potential of the extended enterprise and the Internet of Things.
