Really enjoyed this detective story. Intricately plotted, but never too tricksy, does a good job of taking the reader along. Recommended.

I really like Vargas, but this one was slow going. I put it down after about 50 pages--too much about sheep and not anything else--but my mom assured me it was worth finishing, so I went back. It was good and I'm glad I read it, though it's not one of her best.

What an excellent mystery! I'd read Vargas' first book in this series and didn't care for it much at all, but my mom, who introduced me to this writer, assured me that the first one was not representative of the later ones--she was definitely right.

I'm reading the English translation, but Goodreads doesn't have it.
