I had something to do with the writing of this book as my mother was the author and always depended on me for editorial opinions as she was putting this book together. It is a Civil War novel and an excellent one, thoroughly researched and carefully written. It had very favorable reviews. Unfortunately, its sales were probably impeded by the tacky dustjacket cover, which the publisher insisted on keeping in spite of the author's strenuous objections.
