I enjoyed this book so much. Alma is the cat of SoSo a famous opera singer. SoSo has a beautiful voice and sings in the most beautiful theaters in Italy. Alma loves SoSo but she sometimes whishes she could go outside and see the people. her big moment comes when SoSo gets sick with laryngitis the day before opening night.
Alma sad to see her owner devastated sings to her with her beautiful meowing and purring.SoSo is amazed by Alma's beautiful voice and takes her to the opera and hides her in her wig so Alma can sing in her place.

the beautiful voice of alma saved the show.

I loved it and all I could think about throughout the whole book was Rossini's Duetto Buffo di due Gatti.

This is the story of Frederick Finch, who is VERY loud. Every year his family goes to the fair where his parents and sister win competitions. He wants to win something, so he practices all kinds of things. He sews a very unique shirt to enter into a competition, but while at the fair he finds out about another competition he is sure to win, a mom-calling competition. He wins this one for being the loudest "mom-caller" and he wins a ribbon for the "loudest" shirt.
