However, I didn't like how the characters that much because to me they weren't really that well developed. I just felt that they really just blew over the main characters like the farmer because all they said was he was a farmer and he grew a large green bean that he decided to give to his queen. I like this book because of its writing. It is well organized and fun by having a queen and a giant green bean. Students will enjoy looking at the colorful pictures as they find out what the old couple does with a giant green bean. It also provides a little rhyme at the end which is useful when teaching about sounds and words that sound the same but aren't spelt the same.
