A very informative study of everything about bats, their feeding, sleeping, mating, likes and dislikes, and a look at the immense diversity in the species across the world. Most of the book is sectioned by questions, then the answers, such as "What is echolocation?" The author spends a lot of time discussing the need for bat conservation because bats are a big part of ecosystems as they spread seeds more effectively than birds. There are many unusual photos of bats in action, eating, flying and nursing their young. An excellent resource.… (more)
