Ivis Wonlah is a born native of Monrovia, Liberia. A small country located in West Africa. Ivis Wonlah was sent to America by her father, who is now deceased, in 1991. Because of a civil war that had began in 1989 and killed many of Ivis’ family and other civilians her father feared for her life; therefore arranging for Ivis’ departure out of Liberia and into America. As an awkward kid in class; unable to communicate clearly and friendless Ivis turned to reading and writing as a way to escape the bullying and teasing. In her young adult years Ivis grew profoundly in love with writing poetry and short stories, which eventually turned into much lengthier stories. Ivis’ writing caught the attention of many people who encouraged her to become a writer. Although Ivis published and adult book her heart still seemed to lie elsewhere; with becoming a Children’s Author. Working as a childcare provider for years Ivis had a tender spot for children and viewed life through their eyes. Her imaginative and creative aspect on life has given her gate way to telling stories everyone will love; whether you’re young or old Ivis believes that life is meant to be seen and lived as if it could all disappear tomorrow.
