Humankind is in the middle of a war between the Zelo and Barath’na. Both race are experiencing a population explosion and need earth and its resources to survive. After millions of deaths, the aliens recognize human maybe intelligent and halt the slaughter. Remaining survivors continue the fight as they befriend one side or the other. John and Taz in a quest to get food for their family unknowingly release a virus that caused mass genocide. The majority of the story follows John’s fight to survive. DNF at 27%. The story was okay, if a little elementary, but the narration was the worst I've ever heard in an audiobook. It's so bad that this book is going into the abandoned book pile.
