Since 2002, the Amelia Bloomer Project committee has reviewed children’s books to create the Amelia Bloomer List of recommended books for children. Notable books with strong female characters are recognized in its annual list of books for ages birth through 18. The Amelia Bloomer Project is sponsored by the Feminist Task Force of the Social Responsibilities Round Table of the American Library Association.
