These Awards promote and acknowledge the ingenuity, creativity and vigour that go into book design and production.

Entries for the Awards must be either published, designed, typeset, printed or bound by the entrant in the UK. The exception is the Best British Book category, as the book must be totally produced in the UK.

The Award is sponsored by The British Printing Industries Federation (BPIF), the principal business support organisation representing the UK print, printed packaging and graphic communication industry and one of the country's leading trade associations.
