Award description

Description
The Orange Prize for Fiction (known as the Orange Broadband Prize for Fiction from 2007 to 2008) is one of the United Kingdom's most prestigious literary prizes, awarded annually for the best original full-length novel by a female author of any nationality, written in English and published in the UK in the preceding year.  As of 2013 it was rebranded as the "Women's Prize for Fiction".

Prize winners from 2013 to 2017 can be found at Baileys Women's Prize for Fiction.

Prize winners from 2018 can be found at Women's Prize for Fiction.

The winner of the prize receives £30,000, along with a bronze sculpture called the "Bessie" created by artist Grizel Niven, the sister of actor/writer David Niven.
