Character description

Catherine Sarah Dorothea Pakenham (1773–1831), known as Kitty, married Sir Arthur Wellesley in 1806, ten years after his original proposal was rejected by her family. In the meantime he had become a famous soldier. Later Kitty became Duchess of Wellington when her husband was rewarded for his victories over Napoleon.
