Character description

Charles the Bold or the Rash (1433–1477), son of Philip the Good, was Duke of Burgundy from 1467 to 1477. He married Margaret of York, sister of Edward IV of England. He was the last Valois Duke of Burgundy and on his death, all his estates passed to his only child and heiress Mary of Burgundy, known as "Mary the Rich," who became the greatest marital prize in Europe.
