Character description

Edmund Mortimer, 3rd Earl of March and Earl of Ulster (1352–1381) was Earl Marshal of England and by his marriage in 1368 to Philippa, the only child of Lionel of Antwerp, Duke of Clarence, became a progenitor of the Yorkist claim to the throne in the later Wars of the Roses. His grandson and namesake was Edmund Mortimer, 5th Earl of March and 7th Earl of Ulster (1391–1425).
