Character description

Elizabeth, Queen of Bohemia and Electress Palatine (1596–1662), was born Princess Elizabeth Stuart, eldest daughter of King James I and Anne of Denmark. In 1613, she married Frederick V, Elector of the Palatinate. He was offered the crown of Bohemia, but because his rule there lasted only a few months in 1619-20, Elizabeth was called the "Winter Queen."
