Character description

Emperor Frederick II (1194– 1250) was called "Stupor Mundi" (Wonder of the World) for his many accomplishments, among them the ability to speak 6 languages. He inherited Sicily from his mother Constance, and Germany from his father Emperor Henry IV; he claimed the Latin kingdom of Jerusalem by right of his second wife Yolande. He was a patron of the arts and sciences and an avid falconer.
