Character description

Isabella Clara Eugenia (1566–1633), daughter of King Philip II of Spain and his queen Elizabeth of Valois, was made ruler of the Spanish Netherlands in the Low Countries and the north of modern France, together with her husband Archduke Albert of Austria. Their court at Brussels became a leading European political and artistic center of the day.
