Character description

Isabella of Valois (1389–1409), a French princess, was briefly queen consort of England as the child wife of King Richard II. After his death, she returned to France and married her cousin Charles, Duke of Orléans. She died in childbirth at age 19. She was a daughter of the "mad" King Charles VI and Isabeau of Bavaria, and her younger siblings included Catherine de Valois (later married to King Henry V) and King Charles VII of France.
