True Stories of Law & Order: The Real Crimes behind the Best Episodes of the Hit TV Show by Kevin Dwyer

Character description

Jason Vreeland was a high school dropout and drug user in Franklin, New Jersey.  He and Thomas Koskovich decided to commit a "thrill-killing", and on April 19, 1997 ordered a pizza from Tony's Pizza and Pasta.   They killed Georgio Gallara and Jeremy Giordano when they came to deliver it, and then went bowling.  Vreeland attempted to blame Koskovich, claiming that he was just being a friend and had aimed at the dashboard, but was in fact the one who killed Georgio Gallara. Koskovich and Vreeland later admitted to police that they wanted to experience what it was like to commit murder.   Vreeland received life plus 20 years for aggravated manslaughter and 22 for robbery.
