Character description

Lady Bertilak: The wife of Sir Bertilak in the poem of Sir Gawain and the Green Knight. As a test of his honour, she attempts to seduce him. In this she fails, but she does induce him to take a garment which allegedly will protect him from injury. This causes him to formally fail in his quest, but his punishment is minimal.
