Character description

Margaret of Parma, Duchess of Parma and Piacenza and regent of the Netherlands (1522-1586), was the illegitimate daughter of the Emperor Charles V. Margaret was raised by her great-aunt, Archduchess Margaret of Austria, and her aunt, Queen Maria of Hungary, both of whom preceded her as regents or governors of the Netherlands.
