Description

Countess Marion Yorck von Wartenburg (1904-2007), née Winter, was a German lawyer. She and her husband Peter were members of the "Kreisau Circle" of anti-Nazi aristocrats, academics, and senior civil servants. He was executed after the failure of the 20 July 1944 Plot to kill Hitler, and she was arrested but released. After World War II, she became a judge in West Germany and wrote her memoirs.
