Character description

"Qoheleth," usually translated as "The Preacher," but perhaps as well translated as "The Teacher" or "The Congregation-Gatherer," is the title assumed by the speaker in the Hebrew Bible's Book of Ecclesiastes. Some of the references in the book seem to imply that he is taking on the role of King Solomon, although this is not explicit and it is nearly certain that Solomon did not write the book. Qoheleth expounded a very pessimistic philosophy mixed with a few bits of very genuine wisdom.
