Character description

One Robert Thompson was born 23 August 1982, and was infamous for kidnapping and murdering James Patrick Bulger, a two-year-old, on 12 February 1993, in company with Jon Venables, also ten-years-old.   The case caused an international sensation because of the heinous nature of the offense, the youth of the perpetrators, and the issue of how to deal with such young offenders.
