Character description

Ruth Gordon (1896–1985) was an American actress and writer. She collaborated with her second husband, writer Garson Kanin, on the Academy Award-nominated screenplays for the Hepburn–Tracy films Adam's Rib (1949) and Pat and Mike (1952). Ruth Gordon continued her stage career in the 1950s and acted in films until her death.
