Character description

In Slaves of Spiegel by Daniel Manus Pinkwater, Sargon the Great is the leader of planet Spiegel. Fat space pirates inhabit the planet Spiegel and they travel around the galaxy collecting fattening and unhealthy food.


In the Empire series by Sam Barone, the son of Trella and Eskkar, and heir to Akkad.

Sargon is the name of several Akkadian kings.

Sargon of Akkad, also known as Sargon the Great "The Great King", was an Akkadian emperor famous for his conquest of the Sumerian city-states in the 23rd and 22nd centuries BC.


Sargon I reigned as king of the old-Assyrian Kingdom from ca. 1920 BC to 1881 BC. Named after his predecessor Sargon of Akkad. After conquering many neighboring kingdoms he formed the first empire in the world. Thus becoming the first emperor.


Sargon II (reigned 722 – 705 BC) was an Assyrian king. Sargon II became co-regent with Shalmaneser V in 722 BC, and became the sole ruler of the kingdom of Assyria in 722 BC after the death of Shalmaneser V.
