Character description

In the Meg Langslow series by Donna Andrews, Spike (dog), aka The Small Evil One, supposedly belongs to Michael Waterston's mother, but she claimed allergies and left the sneaky, vicious little (8-1/2 pounds) dog with Meg and Mike "temporarily."   The only people that Spike hasn't bitten are Meg and Michael's sons, Josh and Jamie.
