Character description

Theodosia Burr Alston (1783-1812?) was the daughter of Aaron Burr, 3rd Vice President of the USA, his close friend and confidante, and acted as his social hostess. She married Joseph Alston of Charleston, South Carolina, and was making a visit to NY in December 1812 as a passenger aboard the ship Patriot when it disappeared without a trace after leaving port.
