Character description

William Dudley Haywood (1869-1928): Known as "Big Bill" Haywood. A key figure in the Industrial Workers of the World (IWW, or Wobblies), he tried to save Joe Hill in 1915, and was later tried for sedition himself. He fled to the new Soviet Union in 1921, spending the remaining years of his life there.
