For those interested in watching the sky each night. Anyone who has seen Mercury, who gets excited to watch Jupiter's moons orbit, who knows what Auriga, Capella, Betelgeuse, Rigel, Sirius , Procyon, Bootes and Arcturus are.

What did you watch last night?

Telescopes, astronomy, constellations, planets, astronomy books. Beginners, like me, are very welcomed. Tell about the excitement as you identify each new constellation.

Group pictures - everyone is encouraged to upload any pictures.

UPDATE June 2012. The new profile picture is from the Venus transit of the Sun. There are a couple uploaded pictures of the transit, in addition to the great shot in the group profile.
Thanks to AsYouKnow_Bob for this great picture.
