The State of Journalism

The State of Journalism is still evolving. Once its emphasis has been on "objectivity." This orientation was met by critics who felt it also should be "subjective" at times. Later there was a blending of these two approaches. But how could the public be informed if the "facts" of stories are compromised? Citizens of any democratic nation should receive "news" and "information" that are accurate. Contemporary media are in a landscape of contradictions with many "opinions" masquerading as "facts." How should these problems be resolved?
