Dilara86 (1): Inspired by Jane Eyre

elkiedee (8): Wide Sargasso Sea is the story of Antoinette, known as Bertha, the Madwoman in the Attic of Jane Eyre. It's a very different perspective on the and story, and offers a bit of a challenge to the idea of Mr Rochester as a romantic hero. I suspect that people who love JE and find it romantic will feel aggrieved by the challenge of WSS.… (more)

Her_Royal_Orangeness (21): companion to Jane Eyre; tells the story of Bertha and how she met Rochester; very different from Jane Eyre in style and theme
