Riverfront Readings, Friday, October 9 at 8pm
Benjamin Reed writes essays and fiction. His work has appeared in The Seattle Review, Big Fiction, PANK, West Branch, Arcadia Magazine, Blue Mesa Review, Sou’wester, and The Southern Quarterly. He won the 2013 Austin Chronicle Short Story contest and the Avery Anthology Small Spaces Prize. Ben is also the fiction editor at Arcadia Magazine, an independent art and literature journal based in Oklahoma City, and he teaches composition and American literature at Texas State University. He lives with his family in Austin and online at benjamin-reed.com.

Maryfrances Wagner’s books include Salvatore’s Daughter, Red Silk (winner of the Thorpe Menn Book Award), Light Subtracts Itself and Dioramas and Pouf, a chapbook. Her poems have appeared in literary magazines, anthologies and textbooks including Unsettling America: An Anthology of Contemporary Multicultural Poetry (Penguin Books) and The Dream Book, An Anthology of Writings by Italian American Women (winner of the American Book Award from the Before Columbus Foundation). She is co-editor of The I-70 Review and co-edited the Whirlybird Anthology of Greater Kansas City Writers.
