Poetry Party
Join the Bookmobile in celebrating National Poetry Month. Children and parents are welcome to participate in a poetry workshop and performance. From 2 - 3 p.m., JCPL staff will lead participants in poetry writing exercises, including concrete poems, blackout poetry, haiku, and popular formats. A poetry reading will follow the workshop from 3 -3:30 p.m. Bring a lawn chair and come sit under the awning to listen to the new poetry, or read a favorite poetry selection over the Bookmobile's sound system. Visit the Bookmobile Saturdays from 12 - 4 p.m. at Ken Caryl & Shaffer Safeway.
