Stone Soup was founded in 1973 as the literary magazine entirely written and illustrated by kids through age 13. Today we continue to publish 11 issues of our magazine every year, online and in print, and we produce a series of books using material drawn from our archives.
The Stone Soup Books of... series is a growing collection of themed anthologies which bring together short stories and poetry by our young authors in newly edited form. Once a year we also publish the Stone Soup Annual, a beautiful full-color book in which we publish every issue from the calendar year, plus a selection of reviews, nonfiction and music composition by our growing tea of young bloggers.
Stone Soup is run by the Children’s Art Foundation, a US-based 501(c)(3) educational non-profit organization.
