About My Library

About Me
33 South Main Street in Alfred, New York was built in 1873-1874 by Alpheus Burdick Kenyon and his father-in-law Martin Wilcox Babcock. The house was built as a two-family residence and has mostly been home to multiple generations of the family. In the 1950s-1970s, it housed my grandmother, Agnes Kenyon Clarke Bond (daughter of ABK), and her sister, Dora Kenyon Degen Norwood (Gram downstairs and Aunt Dora upstairs). Both lived in the house with their second husbands. My parents later moved in and I am now living there, the fifth generation.
